The teen horror crime drama Riverdale has thrown its viewers a series of plot twists since it hit screens six years ago, and its seventh and final season is no exception.

In the latest 20-episode episode, which began on March 29, its characters struggle to navigate 1955 Greendale after being sent back in time. The finale, episode 20, will air on August 23. Next up is Riverdale S07E10 (American Graffiti) airing on May 31.

Stuck in the unfamiliar, wholesome surroundings of the original Archie comics on which the show is loosely based, the crew must now return to their original timeline or face disaster.

The gang is transported back as high school students to a world full of jukeboxes, sock parties and Cadillacs, and Archie (KJ Apa) tries to attract the attention of Hollywood starlet Veronica (Camila Mendes).

Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) are back for the latter run, with the latter being the only character who remembers the group’s modern life.
